We aim to eat salmon once a week. I find it helps to keep the day we eat salmon consistent to ensure we get it in once weekly. Meal planning is key! In our house, we have “Salmon Mondays.” I go to the store over the weekend and get wild-caught salmon.

Many people tell me they don’t like salmon. I find a good marinade is key. Here is my go-to marinade. You can also check out Primal Kitchen or Tessamae’s for clean pre-made marinades.

Honey Mustard Marinade

Ingredients:

  • 1 TBSP Dijon mustard
  • 1 TBSP tamari (gluten-free soy sauce)
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1-2 tsps honey
  • 2 TBSP olive oil or avocado oil

Instructions:

Mix the ingredients for the marinade together in a glass pyrex dish. Place salmon flesh side down (skin side up) in the dish. Bake for 10-12 minutes at 350 F.
