Dr. Katarina Meister, ND
As a Naturopathic Doctor (ND), my clinical practice focuses on chronic conditions such as hormone imbalances, gastrointestinal conditions, weight loss resistance, hypothyroidism, acne, female hair loss, chronic fatigue, and autoimmune disorders. I manage each patient with an individualized, evidenced-based, and holistic approach that may include lifestyle changes, functional lab analyses, botanical medicine, homeopathic medicine, and nutritional therapies.
As a Naturopathic Doctor, my clinical focus is on women’s hormones, gut health, and skin-related concerns. Including acne, thyroid conditions, PCOS, post birth control support, fertility and pregnancy support, perimenopause, and menopause. I also treat digestive concerns such as bloating, food sensitivities, IBS, SIBO, GERD, celiac disease, and IBD.
I help patients reconnect with their health by identifying and addressing the root causes of symptoms in order to support the body’s natural ability to heal, improve stress resilience, and restore energy and wellbeing. I believe healthcare works best as a collaborative process and prioritize patient education so individuals feel informed, confident, and actively involved in their care.
My approach is individualized, evidence-based, and holistic, and may include lifestyle and nutrition guidance, functional lab testing (including DUTCH hormone testing, Stool testing, food sensitivity testing, SIBO testing), botanical and homeopathic medicine, and targeted nutritional therapies. I provide natural health and wellness consultations for both teens and adults.
As a licensed Naturopathic Doctor (ND) I graduated with high remarks from Bastyr University California, a four-year post-graduate nationally accredited naturopathic medicine program. My clinical experience at Bastyr University included providing naturopathic primary patient care as well as working alongside MD’s at an integrative Urgent Care & Internal Medicine clinic. In both of these settings, I have seen first-hand how naturopathic medicine plays a major role in providing safe, reliable, and cost-effective primary care medicine alongside the conventional model. Outside of my curriculum I completed several certifications including Craniosacral therapy, Kinesio Taping, Biofeedback, and Microcurrent Neurofeedback.
I am dedicated to educating various audiences including the wider medical community and the public about naturopathic medicine. I have active professional memberships with the Wisconsin Naturopathic Doctors Association, and the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians. Additionally, I am eager to obtain naturopathic state licensure across the midwest area specifically in the state of Wisconsin, as I am originally from the Chicago suburbs and spent most of my summers boating in Wisconsin. In my free time I enjoy being active outdoors with my black lab, Maverick, cooking new healthy recipes, spending quality time with close family and friends, and traveling.
